Style: Coachella Crushin'

From the gothic looks we saw Kendall and Kylie Jenner adorn, to the 90’s rebirth, mixed with the usual festival attire of flower garlands, crochet kimonos and cut off denim hot pants, it was definitely an eclectic year for style at Coachella.

It’s been hard to whittle down because we LOVE festival style, but we’ve managed to select our top 10 looks from Coachella 2014:

1) Katy Perry: Her green dip dye is the perfect addition to her floral two piece, and brightens up her simple crochet and denim outfit.

2) Street Style: Tassels, tassels, tassels... a festival staple if you ask us!

3) Julie Sarinana from Sincerely Jules blog: We love how cool Julie Sarinana looks here with her
breezy aqua top, hippy prints and straw fedora.

4) Street Style: Where can we get our hands on this two piece? The little details of this outfit make it a winner.

5) Vanessa Hudgens:  Staying true to her signature festival style, Vanessa's boho chic look is perfect for parading around barefoot on the lush green grass, making her the ultimate festival goddess.

6) Kendall Jenner: It seems the hippy vibe is appreciated by all at Coachella, even Kendall who pairs some wide leg trousers with a cropped gypsy top.

7) Chiara Ferragni from The Blonde Salad blog: Chiara keeps her festival outfits simple but pairs them with the rucksack of the moment from Chanel.

8) Jourdan Dunn: Yes, another two-piece! Jourdan Dunn wore the brightest neon bikini to add a bit of colour to her monochrome ensemble.

9) Alessandra Ambrosio: Rocking a tie die maxi and a pair of shades one day and cowboy boots and tiny shorts the next. We think she nailed it!

 10) Poppy Delevingne: Keeping it simple, goes for an all back outfit with a red lip to hang out with Sienna Miller (who would totally be our number 11 btw).

Inspiration: Happy 40th Birthday Victoria Beckham!

The ultimate fashionista Victoria Beckham celebrates her 40th birthday on Thursday (Our party invite is on its way, we’re sure!). The former Spice Girl turned fashion designer is one half of our favourite UK couple, and also deserves an award for producing four of the most attractive children we have ever seen!

VB is definitely making her mark on the fashion industry, having won numerous awards for her collections and getting the stamp of approval from Marc Jacobs in 2011. We can’t wait to have a look round her first standalone store on London’s Dover Street, expected later this year.

Without a doubt it is her effortless sense of style that makes VB and her brand so successful. As a renowned wearer of the LBD, the confident simplicity, structure and artful use of colour (or not) to her outfits is what makes her so chic. No wonder she has become recognisable across the globe and known for her fashion choices.

We love how she keeps her make-up so elegant with either a nude lip or smoky eye to accentuate her features. She’s also recently opted for relaxed wavy locks… we want to look this good at 40! When asked to give fans style tips she said “Always look smart and presentable and take pride in your appearance”. VB says her personal style is “quite French is my taste, my style. It’s not overly complicated. It’s quite chic. I like to stay true to myself. I am not trying to be anybody but myself.”

Recently we’ve seen her favour oversized tailoring and simple classic knits, shape being a key element to her style. Her AW14 collection confirmed this with the sleek separates and monotone colour palette. What we love most is how her style has blossomed from her ‘girl power’ days into sophisticated modern glamour, epitomising fashion in all sense of the word. Check out some of her old school looks below.

Rarely pictured out of stilettos, our favourite recent VB moment was when she tweeted a picture of her wearing 5inch skyscrapers whilst standing on a treadmill desk! We like her thinking and will be pitching the idea at our next meeting...

We hope that Becks is buying you something pretty, Posh!
